Regardless of asset size, all credit unions should have some formal process in place for ensuring compliance. This webinar will cover what it takes to build a comprehensive compliance program for your credit union. 

Compliance expert Linda Landis will share with you the methodologies of a credit union that offers a wide variety of products and services and has many committees that oversee compliance (Compliance, Fair Lending, Security, and Governance). She will touch on the important things that a compliance program may include such as an ID Theft prevention program, SAFE Act monitoring and reporting, reviewing advertising and social media content, risk assessments, training, and transparency to the executive level and the Board of Directors.

Meet the presenter:
Linda Landis is the VP Compliance/BSA Officer for Kinecta Federal Credit Union, a large credit union in Southern California. She implemented and actively manages their compliance program including fair lending, a wide variety of products and services, mortgage and consumer lending, and compliance for Kinecta Alternative Financial Service. Linda also has oversight for internal audit and examinations.

Prior to Kinecta, Linda worked for the California & Nevada Credit Union Leagues in their Education and Training Department and Research and Information Department for almost nine years. She has earned the designation of Credit Union Compliance Expert from NAFCU’s National Certified Compliance Officer designation. Linda holds her Bachelor of Science in Organizational Development and her Masters of Science in Leadership and Management from the University of LaVerne. She is also a graduate of Western CUNA Management School.
