PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
eTrain: Robbery & Security Procedures

Safely Dealing with Robbery – Before, During, and After

Robbery prevention, preparation, and procedures training may be the most critical training you and your credit union staff receive.

No one wants to think about robbery, but it’s important to be ready for that possibility by planning solid security and robbery procedures.  Join CCUL’s training specialist Kate McPike as she discusses the guidelines, forms, and procedures that can help you prepare for, manage, and minimize a robbery’s traumatic effects on your credit union and your staff.

You and your staff can be prepared for a robbery (or hostage situation), should one occur, as you learn:

  • The correct opening and closing procedures
  • How to be prepared in the event of a robbery or hostage situation
  • What do during a robbery or hostage situation
  • How to correctly handle post-robbery trauma

Plus, you’ll get useful forms and checklists to help create your credit union’s own “robbery kit”!

Who Should Attend?
All credit union staff, even those who work in the back office, should receive training on robbery and security procedures, especially those who:

  • Enter or leave your building before or after regular lobby hours
  • Work in the lobby or visit the lobby occasionally
  • Possess combinations or keys that access cash
