PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
eTrain: Limiting Your Credit Union’s Exposure to Class Action Lawsuits

Class action lawsuits are rampant.  Although no one is talking about it, many credit unions have been named as defendants in recent years.  Class actions are ever more popular with the plaintiff’s bar.  Why?  Because plaintiffs’ lawyers collect large fees and financial institutions are easy targets.

How can you protect your credit union?  Tune in to learn:

  • What the most common class action suits are against financial institutions
  • How to evaluate your credit union’s products, procedures, services, and agreements, to minimize your credit union’s exposure
  • How to lessen your credit union’s risk of being named as a defendant in the most common  types of class action lawsuits against financial institutions
  • Key steps to strategically limit a credit union’s financial exposure after a class action has been filed
  • Important questions to ask - right up front – to litigation (panel) counsel defending the credit union in a class action lawsuit
Who Should Attend?
  • CEO
  • Board of Directors
  • CFO
  • Senior Management
