Fighting Back Against Credit & Debit Card Losses

Plastic cards are easy and convenient, but not just for our members. They’re also easy targets for fraud. Using creative technology, today’s thieves are finding it simple and profitable to access Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) and raid financial accounts.

What can you do to reduce your credit union’s vulnerability and liability?
If your credit union offers credit and debit cards, you need to know your options, rights, and responsibilities in dealing with fraudulent transactions. Join Ann Davidson from CUNA Mutual Group as she discusses the magnitude of the fraud problem, strategies for fighting it, and ways to measure the effectiveness of your fight.

Meet the presenter, Ann D. Davidson:
As Senior Consultant in Risk Management for CUNA Mutual Group in Madison, Wisconsin, Ann D. Davidson is responsible for loss prevention and risk management solutions for paper, plastic, and electronic payment system risk exposures. She researches information on claims, underwriting, risk management, and outside vendors such as card processors and card companies. Her presentation on Plastic Card Fraud has received high evaluation scores and praise at conferences nationwide.

Ms. Davidson joined CUNA Mutual Group in January, 1974. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a member of the International Association of Financial Crime Investigators Group.
