eTrain: Plastic Card Fraud
Fighting Back Against Credit & Debit Card Losses
Presented by Ann D. Davidson, CUNA Mutual Group
Plastic cards are easy and convenient, but not just for our members. They’re also easy targets for fraud. Using creative technology, today’s thieves are finding it simple and profitable to access Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) and raid financial accounts.
What can you do to reduce your credit union’s vulnerability and liability?
If your credit union offers credit and debit cards, you need to know your options, rights, and responsibilities in dealing with fraudulent transactions. Join Ann Davidson from CUNA Mutual Group as she discusses the magnitude of the fraud problem, strategies for fighting it, and ways to measure the effectiveness of your fight.
During this program we will deal with the difficult questions confronting all of us:
- How does plastic card fraud impact your credit union and your members?
- Has the fraud problem increased or decreased in the last year?
- What new tactics are being used by fraud perpetrators?
- What strategies are currently effective in fighting plastic card fraud?
- How can we know if we are winning?
- What security steps can we take now to limit plastic card fraud losses in the future?
Who should attend?

- Card Services
- Member Service
