The credit union industry has seen significant improvement since the peak of the economic recession, but net interest margins continue to be squeezed by the historically low interest rate environment.  So how are credit unions making money?  This webinar will explore the history of non-interest income for the credit union industry, including current trends.  It will show the impact of non-interest income on a credit union’s bottom line and will cover the common (and not so common) sources of non-interest income.

Meet the Presenter, Stephen J.M. Schiltz, C.P.A, CliftonLarsonAllen LLP:
SteveSchiltz.JPGStephen J.M. Schiltz is an assurance senior manager of CliftonLarsonAllen LLP’s (formerly Clifton Gunderson LLP) Phoenix office. He began his career with CliftonLarsonAllen in August 2002 after graduating from the University of Arizona. Steve worked part time for the firm while obtaining the 150 credit hours required to sit for the CPA exam. In January 2003, he started working full time and relocated to the firm’s Dallas, Texas Office. Over the years, Steve has gained extensive experience providing assurance services to credit unions and credit union service organizations. He has also undertaken considerable continuing education related to these areas.

Steve has made presentations to credit union management teams, supervisory     
committees, and boards of directors. In addition, Steve shares his knowledge through  
national speaking engagements.

Steve is licensed to practice as a Certified Public Accountant in Arizona and Texas. He currently is a member of the AICPA, Arizona Society of CPA’s, the Risk Management Association – Arizona Chapter and the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society.
