Meet the presenter, RaAnn Wood:
As Deputy Commissioner, Credit Unions, for California’s Department of Financial Institutions, RaAnn Wood’s duties include oversight and administration of California laws that govern state-licensed credit unions.
Ms. Wood has extensive experience in the credit union industry, most recently as CEO of California Center Credit Union, Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Before joining the credit union, Ms. Wood served as Research Analyst with the California Credit Union League’s Research and Information Department where she monitored and analyzed regulatory developments, evaluated the impact of technical, operational and regulatory issues on credit unions, and assisted member credit unions with compliance questions via the research and information hotline.
Additionally, Ms. Wood has been a nationally recognized instructor for CUNA’s Regulatory Compliance School, using her extensive background in real estate lending and compliance issues and her 25 years of experience in financial service industries to educate credit union compliance and mortgage lending staff throughout the nation.
Ms. Wood holds a BS in Organizational Management and is a graduate of Western CUNA Management School.
