Meet the Presenters:
Geoffrey “Jeff” B. Smith is an Independent Contractor for CU Investment Solutions, Inc., the wholly owned broker-dealer CUSO of a consortium of ten Corporate Credit Unions. In this capacity, he provides securities sales coverage to credit unions and other financial institutions throughout the United States. Jeff joined SunCorp in 2011, as a Corporate Agent providing investment sales coverage in marketable securities to credit unions. He began serving the nation’s credit unions in 2004 as a representative of WesCorp Investment Services, LLC CUSO, after having been in Fixed Income Security Sales for more than 25 years He began his career with Goldman Sachs, Drexel Burnham and Merrill Lynch.  Jeff moved to the regional dealer community where he was National Taxable Securities Sales Manager for Dain, Rauscher Corporation. Throughout his career he has provided sales coverage to institutional clients, including financial intermediaries, money managers, and investment advisors.  Jeff holds the Series 5, Series 7, Series 8 and Series 63 licenses.

Dwight Johnston is the Chief Economist for the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues. He has more than 30 years of investment experience with financial institutions. For the past 14 years, including 12 years as chief economist for Western Corporate FCU (WesCorp), Dwight has focused on economic and market information and education for credit unions. He established Dwight Johnston Economics in 2010, and joined the Leagues as Chief Economist in May 2012. Dwight is a frequent speaker at credit union events, and is a columnist for Credit Union Digest. He has a degree in finance.
