Gaye DeCesare is President of COMPASS 4 Cus, LLC, a Credit Union Service Organization owned by Belvoir FCU, where she also serves as Chief Administrative Officer. COMPASS specializes in providing compliance and regulatory assistance to credit unions of all sizes. With 30 years of experience in the credit union industry, Gaye has knowledge of and practical experience in branch and call center operations, IRA program management, human resource management, staff development and training, marketing, and of course, regulatory compliance. Specializing in compliance for more than 20 years, Gaye was among the first in the nation to earn NAFCU’s NCCO and CUNA’s CUCE certifications when the programs were introduced in 1997 and 2000, respectively.
She served on NAFCU’s Compliance Standards and Practices Commission that developed the NCCO certification program, and is a founding member of the Capital Area Compliance Roundtable and the recently formed BSA Compliance Roundtable. Gaye is a speaker/instructor for national and state trade associations and a contributor to CUNA’s RegTraC compliance learning modules. In addition to being a NCCO and CUCE, she is also a Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist.
