Meet the presenters:
Jeremy Calva is the Chief Strategy Officer at America's Christian Credit Union (ACCU) supporting commercial and consumer lending teams. Prior to joining ACCU Jeremy was the President/CEO and founder of PIR Capital LLC a firm focused on providing regulatory compliance and loan putback repurchase strategies for financial institutions and institutional investors. Jeremy also worked for Xceed Credit Union as their VP Finance, WesCorp as VP Investment Operations, and has worked as a consultant for firms such as Disney and Microsoft. Jeremy holds four active certifications including CPA, Certified Treasury Professional, Certified in Financial Forensics and Chartered Forensic Accountant. Jeremy is actively involved in his community as a volunteer and understands the importance of ongoing professional development.
Dwight Johnston is the Chief Economist for the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues. He has more than 30 years of investment experience with financial institutions. For the past 14 years, including 12 years as chief economist for Western Corporate FCU (WesCorp), Dwight has focused on economic and market information and education for credit unions. He established Dwight Johnston Economics in 2010, and joined the Leagues as Chief Economist in May 2012. Dwight is a frequent speaker at credit union events, and is a columnist for Credit Union Digest. He has a degree in finance and economics from the University of Texas at Austin.
